"Setting the Gospel to Music"

If you attend a church – or you know of one nearby - that has once-a-month singing – no matter what state you’re in – please email or call Lewis & Lewis and let us know the name of the church plus the name and phone number of the person we’d contact to see about coming to sing. Also, if your church that has either Tuesday night or Thursday night mid-week services (instead of Wednesday nights), please let us know the name of your church and phone number. Thanks!

AMERICA the Unsinkable...

(We thought!)

Life's a garden and you're the gardener;

What kind of crop are you raising???

(Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall  he also reap.)

Galatians 6:7

You may be a Christian,

but you're still a voter!!!

So do your job as both!

Be kind to yourself...meaning...We all have daily bumps in the road without deliberately bringing Extra Trouble in our lives...

Do things with Life...Don't let Life do "things" to you!

When I, Laura Lewis, realized that God knew my heart better than I did...

That's when I really learned how to pray.

A Church goer wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday. "I've gone for 30 years now," he wrote, "and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my time and the pastors are wasting their time.
This started a real controversy in the "Letters to the Editor" column, much to the delight of the editor. It went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher:
"I've been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals. But I do know this. They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today.  Likewise, if I had not gone to church for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today!"

When you are DOWN to nothing...God is UP to something! Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible!  Thank God for our physical AND our spiritual nourishment!

With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?"  By Jay Leno

To live an Extraordinary Life...

is not a lack of Information...

Just a lack of Implementation.

Words for a good marriage that were quoted by the Pastor of our church...

LEAVING...

CLEAVING...

WEAVING...

"I'm giving my Troubles

an Expiration Date!"

By Shelly Douglas, Campbellsville, KY

(This was one of the questions a state trooper asked the person he'd stopped:-)

"The answer to this last question will determine whether you are drunk or not. Was Mickey Mouse a cat or a dog?"

When I woke up this morning, I asked myself,

"What is life about?"

I found the answer in my room...

the fan said, "Be cool."

The roof said, "Aim high."

The window said, "See the world!"

The clock said, "Every minute is precious."

The mirror said, "Reflect before you act."

The calendar said, "Be up to date."

The door said, "Push hard for your goals."

The floor said, "Kneel down and pray"...~
